The entirety of the Ridge Trail straddles the Virginia- Kentucky border. The Lewis Hollow Trail leads from the Virginia side up to the Ridge Trail. Along the way pass Skylight Cave, views, Indian Rock shelter, the numerous preserved buildings of the Hensley Settlement and Sand Cave with its waterfall. Get this from a library. Virginia Lilly Old-Growth Trail. [United States. Forest Service. Pacific Northwest Region.;]. Drive gravel Road for miles to a "Y", then take the left fork, following the sign for the Virginia Lilly Trail.
Past the "Y", drive miles on a good gravel road to the signed trailhead on the left. There's a new parking area and a trailhead sign just off Roadaccessible by any passenger car.
